ದಿನಾಂಕ 09.01.2012 ರಂದು ಸಮಯ ಸುಮಾರು 21:30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪುಂಜಾಲಕಟ್ಟೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಪಿಯರ್ಾಧಿದಾರರಾದ ತಣ್ಣೀರು ಪಂಥ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಅಳಿಕೆ ಮನೆ ವಾಸಿ ಅಬ್ಬಾಸ್ ಎಂಬವರು ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಖತೀಜಮ್ಮ ಎಂಬವರು ಈ ದಿನದಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. 

      ನಂತರ ದಿನಾಂಕ 31.01.2012 ರಂದು ಕಡಬ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಅಪರಾಹ್ನ ಸುಮಾರು 2.30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪಿರ್ಯಾದಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಆನಂದ ಗೌಡ ಎಂಬವರು ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗಿ ಪಿಯರ್ಾದಿದಾರರು ಪಂಚಾಯತಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಸಮಯ ಸುಮಾರು 10:30 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಕೊಂಬಾರು ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ  ಸೊಪ್ಪು ಮತ್ತು ತರಗೆಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಗ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ದುವರ್ಾಸನೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದು ಮೋರಿಯ ಒಳಗಡೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಕೊಳೆತು ಹೋದ ಮೃತ ದೇಹವೊಂದು ಕವುಚಿ ಮಲಗಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪಿಯರ್ಾಧಿದಾರರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಕೃತ್ಯವನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ 31.01.2012 ರಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 20 ದಿವಸಗಳ ಮೊದಲು ಯಾರೋ ದುಷ್ಕಮರ್ಿಯು ಎಲ್ಲೋ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೃತದೇಹವನ್ನು ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಗುಂಡ್ಯ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಪುತ್ತೂರು ತಾಲೂಕು, ಕೊಂಬಾರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಅಮೈತಡ್ಕ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೋರಿಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದು ಹಾಕಿರುವುದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬಿತ್ಯಾದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅದರಂತೆ ಸದ್ರಿಯವರ ದೂರಿನ ಆಧಾರದಂತೆ ಕಡಬ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಠಾಣಾ ಅ.ಕ್ರ 15/2012 ಕಲಂ: 302, 201 ಐಪಿಸಿ ಯಂತೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿ ತನಿಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದಾಗಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳ ಪತ್ತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧೀಕ್ಷಕರವರ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಎ.ಎಸ್.ಪಿ ಎಂ. ಎನ್. ಅನುಚೇತ್ ರವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ತಂಡ ರಚಿಸಿ ತನಿಖೆ ಕೈಗೊಂಡರು. ಅದರಂತೆ ಡಿ.ಸಿ.ಐ.ಬಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಆಕೆ ಕಾಣೆಯಾದಂದು ಕೊಲೆಯಾದ ಖತೀಜಳ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಮಾರುತಿ ಓಮ್ನಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ಮಾರುತಿ ಓಮ್ನಿ ಕಾರು ಕೊಲೆಯಾದ ಖತೀಜಾಳ ತಮ್ಮನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಆಸ್ಪಾನಾಳ ಅಣ್ಣ ಆರೋಪಿ ಅಜೀಜ್ನದ್ದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆತನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸುಳ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 2 ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದು ಆತನು  ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗದೆ ತಲೆಮರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು. 

     ಆತನು 4 ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಔಟ್ ಪಾಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ್ದಿದ್ದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿತು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಂಶಯವಿದ್ದು, ಅವನನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ 07-02-2012 ರಂದು ಪುತ್ತೂರು ನಗರದ ಅಶ್ವಿನಿ ಹೊಟೆಲ್ ಬಳಿಯಿರುವ ಪತ್ರಾವೋ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಬಳಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಲಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಕೃತ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಖತೀಜಮ್ಮಳನ್ನು ಅವಳ ಚಿನ್ನಾಭರಣವನ್ನು ದೋಚುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯ ಮನಗೆ ತನ್ನ ತಂಗಿಯರಾದ ಅಸೀದಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸ್ಪಾನಾರವರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ 09-01-2012 ರಂದು ಹೋದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಜೀಜ್ನು ಖತಿಜಮ್ಮಳ ಮನೆಯ ಬೀರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಖತೀಜಮ್ಮಳು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬೊಬ್ಬೆ ಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ಅವಳ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಕೊಂದನು. ನಂತರ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು ಖತೀಜಮ್ಮಳ ಮೃತ ದೇಹದ ಕೈ ಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಮಾರುತಿ ಓಮ್ನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಪುತ್ತೂರು ಸುಳ್ಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂಗಿಯಂದಿರನ್ಮ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಾವರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿಸಿ, ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಗುಂಡ್ಯ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬದಿಯ ಮೋರಿಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶವವನ್ನು ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟು ಮನೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದನು. 

     ಈ ದಿನ ದಿನಾಂಕ 08-02-2012ರಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾನ್ಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾಜರುಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದು,  ಮಾನ್ಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಅಸೀದಾ ಮತ್ತು ಆಸ್ಪಾನಾ ಇವರನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅಜೀಜ್ನನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. 

       ಈ ಆರೋಪಿ ಎ. ಎಮ್. ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಅಜೀಜ್ @ ಅಜೀಜ್ ನನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚುವ ಯಶ್ವಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾದ ಡಿ.ಸಿ.ಐ.ಬಿ. ಇನ್ಸ್ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ವಿನಯ್ ಎಸ್. ನಾಯಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಾದ ಸಂಜೀವ ಪುರುಷ, ಚಂದ್ರ ಅಡೂರು, ಉದಯ ರೈ, ವಿಜಯ ಸುವರ್ಣ, ಪಳನಿವೇಲು, ತಾರನಾಥ ಎಸ್, ಇಕ್ಬಾಲ್, ದೇವಯ್ಯ, ಶಾಂತ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ವಿಜೇಶ್ವರನ್ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ 2500/- ರೂಪಾಯಿಯಂತೆ ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು.
